Friday (the 25th, if I'm not mistaken), I went out on my own. I really needed to be alone for some time, plus there was nobody who shared the same passion for books as me. So I went to a enormous bookstore by myself (Foyles, at Charing Cross Street, for those who know what I mean), with 6 stories, and a café, and I spend approximately 2 hours there.
After I bought 3 books and had a nice cuppa tea, I walked over to Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus. I saw some awesome street performers, who performed a mix of dances combined with comedy. I truly enjoyed the show, so I gave money to them (I have this opinion that says that if you enjoy a certain performance, you owe the people giving it money). I browsed some stores for souvenirs, and luckily I succeeded in finding what I wanted to buy for certain people!
I went home then, just started preparing for leaving. I also played Blackjack with 2 people from my group. Believe me, I had no idea what I was doing, but somehow I won their money (no large sums, just 3 pounds in total). Everyone was like "nah, we'll just clean tomorrow, and sleep is for the weak."... And there I was, completely ready to go, and went to bed on time. As usual (sorry people, I'm no fun to hang out with!).
Anyway, Saturday. Ready to go home. I honestly regret going home even though we had to, but I was happy at the same time. I missed my parents, my best friend, and my pets. So when I came home, I was overwhelmed with happiness of actually being back again. And then.. You hook up your camera to your laptop, and all the pictures on it get in your folder.. So, I picked a few photos for those of you who actually want to see them... Enjoy if you want to, and ignore and close my blog when you don't ;p
Big Ben and Red Bus. Obviously.
The famous Red Telephone Booth!
... And the infamous pictures that go with it.
Guard at Buckingham Palace (forbidden to smile).
London Eye by night... I love this photo!
National History Museum, from the outside.
First thing you see when you exit Piccadilly Circus Underground Station.
M&M's World - A hella lot of chocolate!
And just because I liked it. Deal with it.
Well my lovely readers, I guess that about sums it up for my first but defenitly not last London experience.. If you wish to ask me something, or if you wonder if I have a picture from something specific, feel free to comment on whatever post I posted!
With love, a big thank you and a bow -
Gaby.
